The current Trust Council has begun a multi-year project to approve a new Trust Policy Statement.

At its September 2023 meeting, Trust Council decided in secret to fundamentally reinterpret the purpose or Object of the Islands Trust.

First draft of the 2024 revised version of the Trust Policy Statement has been delayed.

In 2021, over 600 people signed the Friends of the Gulf Islands’ petition to the Islands Trust. Council has not responded.
