Thank you for standing up!
The nearly 2000 signatures (and counting!) speak to how important protecting the local environment is for Islanders
WELCOME To
Friends of the Gulf Islands Society is a collaboration of islanders focussed on the islands under the jurisdiction of the Islands Trust, a unique “public trust” created by the British Columbia legislature in 1974 to stop unrestrained development and preserve the natural environment and rural character of the islands for all British Columbians. We advocate for our elected trustees and the Province of BC to fulfill their obligation under the Trust Act “to preserve and protect” the Trust islands during these times of increasing development pressures and the climate crisis.

The nearly 2000 signatures (and counting!) speak to how important protecting the local environment is for Islanders

Trust Islands have an urgent need for informed land use planning
